A Hub of Connection

The Ojai Valley Green Coalition (OVGC) serves as a hub to bring our community together for a better future, one in which we all can thrive.

We’re dedicated to bridging divides, activating people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting life of all kinds in the Ojai Valley, and facilitating positive change.

We aspire to a vision of the Ojai Valley as a resilient and ecologically healthy home for all human and non-human residents.

What this looks like and how we get there depends on all of us. Are YOU in?

History

In 2006, the Ojai Valley Green Coalition was established as a grassroots hub to activate community members towards improving the environmental health, safety, and quality of life in the Ojai Valley. In 2008, OVGC became an official nonprofit 501(c)3.

Over the years, hundreds of Ojai Valley residents have worked through the OVGC to create a greener and more sustainable future in the Ojai Valley. OVGC’s rich legacy includes an historic city-wide ban on plastic bags, Ojai Ride and Roll bicycling promotion events, town halls focused on Fire Safe Building, Seed Swaps, Earth Day celebrations, E-waste collections, Green Living tours, creek clean-ups, workshop series at the Ojai Demonstration Garden, and much more.

Our work continues today, as we partner with community members and organizations to continue to build and strengthen life-sustaining and regenerative ways of being. We welcome your involvement!
